A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Grant County Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.

An email or other direct message may be kept long enough to review it and respond. It remains within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.

Its published material identifies official channels such as the Grant County Sheriff, Grant County Circuit Court Clerk, Kentucky State Police Criminal Identification and Records Branch, Kentucky Court of Justice, and Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. The website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not compiled into a consumer report or a criminal-record file about another person.

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is handled under the selected provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider sets its own retention, use, and disclosure practices. Review those terms before entering a query.
